My Go-To Makeup Remover

Bioderma’s Sensible and Crealine makeup removers.

I had just returned home from a trip to Paris when I saw the video with her favorites skin care product. Out of all the products mentioned, I know I had to try this makeup remover. So I ordered it online and anxiously waited for my package. That was four years ago and Lisa Eldridge’s recommendation is still my go-to first step makeup remover. Bioderma is hard to find on this side of the Atlantic but Amazon came through and I can now have this item at my door step is two days or less. Thank you Amazon Prime!

The philosophy behind the brand is to create products that safe, good for your skin and as pure as possible. The micelle solutions are their top selling product, and for good reason. These products are gentle enough to be used by people with sensitive skin. They are also really great, and efficient cleansers. You can use this on it’s own to cleanse your face – no need to pre-wash, soak or rinse before, during or after use. How easy is that?!

I particularly like this product to remove my eye makeup. As you know, I layer several products under my eyes to correct and conceal my dark circles. I also use black eye liner. This micelle water removes all of that with little to no effort. How? I soak a cotton pad with the micelle water and place in on top of my eye area. I let is sit there for a few seconds and then, very gently, I press it agains my lash line. Then I wipe it away. Voila! All my eye make is removed. I have also used this as an all over face makeup remover and it works just as well. I always follow this with a face wash, mostly because I do a two step face cleanse, and because I like to feel like I washed my face.

So, if you are looking for a gentle cleanser that can be used on it’s own, and that will be gentle on your skin, but leave it squeaky clean – look no further than Bioderma’s Makeup Remover Micelle Solution.

P.S. I hope everyone had a great 4th of July weekend! I made these yummy treats for a cookout. They were gone before we even go to have dessert. 🙂
